DO YOU HAVE ___________?

  • Do you have some extra fullness beneath your chin?
  • Do you have extra folds of skin in your neck area?
  • Do you have multiple or what appears to be a “double chin”?
  • Do you eat well and exercise, but submental fullness does not go away?

YOU MAY BE INTERESTED IN KYBELLA CHIN REDUCTION TREATMENT

KYBELLA® is a prescription medicine and is the only FDA-approved injectable treatment used in adults to improve the appearance and profile of moderate to severe fat below the chin (submental fat), also called “double chin.”

The active ingredient in KYBELLA® is synthetic deoxycholic acid. Deoxycholic acid is a naturally occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat. When injected into the fat beneath the chin, KYBELLA® destroys fat cells, and once destroyed, these cells can no longer store or accumulate fat. This results in a noticeable reduction in fullness under the chin, revealing an improved chin profile.

WHAT IS KYBELLA® TREATMENT LIKE?

Before starting treatment, your healthcare specialist will examine the area under and around your chin to determine if KYBELLA® is right for you. Then, your specialist will tailor your treatment to the amount of fat under the chin and your aesthetic goals.

Treatment can only be administered by a KYBELLA®-trained healthcare specialist. At each treatment, you will receive multiple small injections under your chin, and the injection process takes about 15 to 20 minutes. The exact number of injections will depend on the amount of fat you have under your chin and your desired profile.

Since everyone’s chin profile is different, the number of treatments varies from patient to patient. Your healthcare specialist will help determine how many treatment sessions you need based on the amount and distribution of your submental fat a

WHAT ARE KYBELLA® TREATMENT RESULTS LIKE?

When injected into fat under the chin, KYBELLA® causes the destruction of fat cells. Once destroyed, those cells cannot store or accumulate fat. After reaching your desired aesthetic, further treatment is not expected.

Many patients experience visible results after 2 to 4 treatments. 59% of patients received 6 treatments in clinical trials to achieve visible results. After being treated with KYBELLA®, patients reported greater improvement in self-perception than patients treated with placebo, including feeling happier and looking younger based on their chin profile. They also reported feeling less embarrassed, less self-conscious, less overweight, and less bothered by the fullness under their chin. In Clinical Trials, 79% of patients treated with KYBELLA® were satisfied with significant improvement with the appearance of their face and chin even 12 weeks after their last treatment.

WHAT ARE ANY SIDE EFFECTS OF KYBELLA® TREATMENT?

After KYBELLA® treatment, you will likely have some swelling, bruising, or numbness under your chin. Be sure to inform your healthcare professional if you develop an uneven smile, facial muscle weakness, difficulty swallowing or injection site problems such as bruising, hair loss, open sores (ulcers), and damage and tissue cell-death (necrosis) around the injection site. Call your healthcare provider if you develop open sores or drainage from the treatment area. The most common side effects are swelling, bruising, pain, numbness, redness and areas of hardness around the treatment area.

WHAT SHOULD I TELL MY DOCTOR BEFORE TREATMENT?

Before receiving KYBELLA®, tell your healthcare provider about all of your medical conditions, including if you:

  • Have had or plan to have surgery on your face, neck, or chin
